The aim of French language classes is to help you achieve a variety of communication goals, with both flexible and creative classes, and the priority will always be to get you speaking French! You can choose between a variety of courses, depending on your needs:

6. Intensive course

The classes cover listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. You can also choose to focus on some of the skills more than the others.

The curriculum will be structured on the following levels of the Common European framework of reference for languages:

A1 Breakthrough	DELF A1	100-199	Basic level. You can understand and use very simple expressions related to daily life situations.
A2 Waystage	DELF A2	200-299	Elementary level. You can understand sentences and frequently used expressions related to areas of most immediate relevance (e.g. very basic personal and family information, shopping, local geography, employment).
B1 Threshold	DELF B1	300-399	Limited but efficient use of language. You can deal with most situations likely to arise while travelling in an area where the language is spoken and you can produce simple connected text on topics that are familiar.
B2 Vantage	DELF B2	400-499	Spontaneous and fairly fluent use of language. You can interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity that makes regular interaction with native speakers quite possible without strain for either party and you can understand the main ideas of complex text on both concrete and abstract topics.
C1 Proficiency	DALF C1	500-599	Effective operational proficiency or advanced level. You can  express ideas fluently and spontaneously without much obvious searching for expression and you can use language flexibly and effectively for social, academic and professional purposes.
C2 Mastery	DALF C2	600-699	Mastery or proficiency. You can understand with ease virtually everything heard or read. You can also express arguments very fluently and precisely, differentiating finer shades of meaning even in the most complex situations.

General French

Speaking, listening, reading & writing

Learn French based on communicative objectives according to your level E.g. How to greet, introduce yourself, talk about your hobbies, ask your way, go shopping, book a hotel, etc.

Conversation & pronunciation

Practice spoken French and work on the pronunciation, intonation and rhythm.

It will help you to feel more at ease in everyday conversations.

Specific objectives

Law, business...

Use a more professional French, still based on communicative objectives. E.g. How to set an appointment, talk about your position, write a professional email, express your opinion in a meeting, make a professional phone call, etc.

Preparation for exams

DELF, DALF, TCF...

Work on both your language skills and the specific methodology Your target is not only to obtain the best results but also to feel confident before the exam!

If you are interested to take the DELF/DALF examinations, here are the recommended hours of private tuition for each level:

A1: 40 hours from Beginner level
A2: 120 hours from Beginner level
B1: 250 hours from Beginner level
B2: 450 hours from Beginner level
C1: 650 hours from Beginner level
C2: 850 hours from Beginner level

Grammar

Work on your grammatical mistakes according to your needs: classification then correction by types of mistakes (eg. for verbs: how to choose the right tenses, how to memorize some irregular conjugations)

You will understand better French morphology and syntax.

Intensive course

Between 10-20h per week.

Be ready for an immersion! The best way to learn fast... Especially if you are about to settle in a French speaking country, if you want to prepare for an interview, or because you just think it is about time to "boost" your level in French.
